1. Data Controller
The controller of your personal data is RS SKALA s.r.o., ID: 23027495, the operator of the HockeyBook platform (hereinafter 'we' or 'HockeyBook'). For questions regarding personal data processing, contact us at info@hockeybook.online.
2. What data we collect
To operate the application, we process the following personal data:
- Registration data — name, email address, password (stored in encrypted form)
- Profile data — nickname, jersey number, position, profile picture
- Activity data — event attendance, game statistics, team and league memberships
- Communication data — messages sent within team chat
- Technical data — device type, push notification token
- City/location entered during registration
- Team logos and photographs uploaded by users
- Data from inappropriate content or bug reports (report type, description, attached screenshot, page URL, user ID, submission time)
- Contact data — phone number, used for SMS event notifications and team invitations
3. Purpose of processing
We process your data exclusively for the following purposes:
- Organizing hockey events (practices, games, tournaments) and managing registrations
- Informing users about their event registrations and schedule changes
- Sending notifications about upcoming events, game results, and team messages
- Maintaining league standings, statistics, and game records
- Enabling communication between team members
- Processing reports of inappropriate content and technical issues (report feature)
- Moderation of user-generated content to enforce platform rules
4. Data sharing with third parties
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third parties for marketing purposes. All data, including email communication, is processed exclusively on HockeyBook's own servers. No data is transferred to any external entities. All communication serves exclusively the operational purposes of the application.
5. Data storage and security
All data is stored on our own servers in the Czech Republic. Communication between the app and servers is encrypted using TLS protocol. Passwords are stored in hashed form. Access to data is restricted to authorized administrators only.
- All user-generated content (logos, photographs) is stored exclusively on RS SKALA s.r.o.'s own servers in the Czech Republic
- Email communication is sent directly from our own server infrastructure
- Access to data is restricted to authorized administrators and protected by two-factor authentication
6. Your rights
In accordance with GDPR, you have the following rights:
- Right of access — you can request a copy of your personal data
- Right to rectification — you can update or correct inaccurate data
- Right to erasure — you can request deletion of your account and all related data
- Right to data portability — you can request export of your data in a machine-readable format
- Right to restriction — you can request restriction of processing of your data
- Right to lodge a complaint — you have the right to file a complaint with a data protection authority
7. Data retention
We retain your data for the duration of your account. After account deletion, all personal data is removed within 30 days. Anonymized statistical data (game records without personal identification) may be retained for historical league standings. Report data (inappropriate content/bug reports) is retained for 12 months from submission, after which it is anonymized or deleted.
8. User-generated content
The HockeyBook platform allows users to upload their own content. The following applies to such content:
- Users may upload their own content — team logos, photographs, descriptions, articles
- This content is publicly available to other users of the platform, and to unauthenticated visitors if the user has chosen public visibility
- By uploading content, the user confirms that they hold all necessary rights to such content
- HockeyBook reserves the right to remove content that violates platform rules or applicable legal regulations
9. Cookies
The HockeyBook web application uses only technically necessary cookies to maintain login sessions and language preferences. We do not use any analytics or advertising cookies.
10. Changes to this policy
We may occasionally update this privacy policy. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by email.
